Liberty High School, 2018 Winner
Trina Bradshaw teaches at Liberty High School in Brentwood, the school she graduated from when she was a teenager. Trina has taught English for 15 years, using literature as a way for students to explore and understand their feelings and the community around them. Trina said she was inspired to be an educator by her kindergarten teacher. She now pays it forward by mentoring 10th graders at her school’s Teaching and Learning Academy. The program guides and encourages students, in particular Hispanic girls, to obtain their teaching degree and follow the path of bettering society through education.
